Utica, NY (June 6, 2014) Freshman Rayshawn Scott (Mays Landing, NJ/Buena Regional) of the Utica College outdoor track & field team was named the Empire 8 Conference Field Rookie of the Year on Thursday afternoon. Scott became the first UC male athlete to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the triple jump this past season. At NCAA's he placed 17th after recording a leap of 13.98 meters.
